Erskine Chambers congratulates Justice Nick Segal on appointment as Chair of the Bank of England’s EDMC

Erskine Chambers congratulates Justice Nick Segal, Associate Member of Erskine Chambers, on his appointment as Chair of the Bank of England’s Enforcement Decision Making Committee (EDMC), effective from 1 August 2026.

Justice Segal is a Judge of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands, an Assistant Justice of the Supreme Court of Bermuda, and a Deputy High Court Judge in the Hong Kong Court of First Instance.

The EDMC is the Bank of England’s decision-making body for contested enforcement cases. Justice Segal succeeds Sir William Blair, whose term ended in July 2026.
