Andrew Thornton KC Shortlisted for the Global Restructuring Review’s Advocate of the Year Award.

We are pleased to announce that Andrew Thornton KC has been shortlisted for the Global Restructuring Review’s Advocate of the Year Award.

Andrew is a leading King’s Counsel, regularly involved in many of the UK’s most significant public company M&A and restructuring transactions.

Andrew represented Thames Water’s parent company, challenging its plan in the High Court and Court of Appeal resulting in the higher court providing further guidance on fair treatment of out of the money creditors in Part 26A plans.

He also acted as Counsel to opposing creditors Saipem and Samsung in successfully overturning Petrofac’s Part 26A plan in the Court of Appeal.
