Registered societies are societies registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. Like companies, they are bodies corporate and can become insolvent. This article explores the use of administration, company voluntary arrangements, schemes of arrangement and restructuring plans and the adaptions made to these procedures in this context.
